As the weather gets colder, lots of citrus fruits appear on the market. One of the best things you can use them from is to make freshly squeezed juices at home! They are a great replacement for the juices sold in supermarkets because the latter lack most of the valuable substances, found in the former, and contain lots of conservatives and sugars. Freshly squeezed juices contain lots of vitamins and minerals, depending on what fruits or vegetables you use. Here are some ideas for products you can use and what valuable ingredients they have:

  • Orange: Contains lots of vitamin C which is a valuable antioxidant, it is very supportive to the immune system and is an anti-aging collagen booster. Also, it is a good source of magnesium.
  • Grapefruit: Not only does it contain lots of vitamin C, but also vitamin A and potassium.
  • Lemon: Add a little lemon to sour things up when you are having a citrus freshly squeezed juice! Some of its health benefits are that it purifies your blood, boosts your immune system, and even improves sleep!
  • Spinach: It is rich in many vitamins such as A, C, B and K, along with iron. It can lower blood pressure and the risk of cancer, while also improving bone health.

  • Celery: Celery is not a popular vegetable for freshly squeezed juice, but it is actually a great product! It reduces blood pressure, stress levels and bad cholesterol. Furthermore, it can improve your sleep and has powerful anti cancer properties.

When it comes to your health, freshly squeezed juices are something amazing. However, in regard to weight loss, fruit juices are not the best choice because of the amount of sugars they contain.
